UN Volunteers

Free will, commitment, engagement and solidarity. These are the values that United Nations Volunteers (UNV) sustains. It is an organization that contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide.

Examples of activities in areas:  helping people threatened by poverty, hunger. Health care,  providing education, clean water and sanitation, energy. Supporting economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, peace, justice activities helping to stop climate change.

Age range: 25+

Countries: Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Arab States

Duration: mostly 6–12 months with the possibility of extending for one to two years. Short-term assignments of three months or less are also requested from time to time by their partners.
